Adulthood

Hello and good day.

So, this is my first post and I decided to write about something that is interesting and appealing to the general public. No, this is not an 'I love/hate Justin Bieber and I want to marry/kill him' post. (Just an FYI, I picked the later option) I'm going to discuss about the path everyone needs to travel one day and it is the longest, hardest and most important path in our life.

Adulthood.
Does it ring a bell in your head? Of course it would. Remember the time during our childhood, we always wanted to be an adult. We want to do adult stuff, escape from our parents. We want to look cool and matured. We try to imitate those adults, wearing over-sized clothes and for the girls even tested bras for the first time. (Admit it, you DID that). During that time, we put adulthood as on a pedestal. The childhood dream to finally become an adult.

Sooner or later, we reached our teens. The age of change and experiments. We discover new things and had a taste of life itself. We developed in this stage, evolving from a snot-nosed brat into a clean-nosed rebel. We started to think. We started to feel big. We rebelled. We are the kings and queens of the world. But are we adults in this stage? Young adults, maybe but most teens aren't qualify to be an adults. Most of them are grown children. Immaturity plus raging hormones is not a happy combination especially to parents. That is why teens started to distance themselves from families when both parents and teens don't see eye to eye. But that is another point all together

After teen hood, we arrived at adulthood. And well you know, life smacks you hard the second you finished school. (For me, that is the start of adulthood) The society, the pain, the hardships all seems too alien to the said teen. Reminiscing their childhood, they always thought adult life was cool. They were wrong. Unable to accept the harsh reality, they cling to their youth ideology of immaturity and total-freedom like their life depends on it. Soon, they were swept away, unable to cope up with the cold world and the reality of life.

What is my point actually?

Adulthood is NOT fun and games.
Adulthood is NOT all cool and glamorous
Adulthood is NOT the same as teen hood

Adulthood is HARSH
Adulthood is COLD
Adulthood is LIFE

So, you might be thinking. "What is this guy trying to say? Life sucks?"
Wait, let me finish my point. Adulthood is truly different from childhood and teen hood where we are not tied to anyone or anywhere. We called the shots this time. No one to tell us what to do and guide us through EVERYTHING. That's why it is HARSH and COLD.

But wait a sec, pay attention to this line:

'Unable to accept the harsh reality, they cling to their youth ideology of immaturity and total-freedom like their life depends on it. Soon, they were swept away, unable to cope up with the cold world and the reality of life.'

Adulthood is unforgiving for people who does not accept them in the first place. Life is basically a roller coaster ride. It is harsh but it is filled with joy. People who rejects the harshness can't feel the joy. People  who don't change and become matured adults can't feel the joy of life.

I'm  turning 18 this year, which marks the beginning of my adulthood. In the short two months after finishing school, I did tasted life, thanks to my business ventures. It was bitter. True, it smack me right in the face.

Then, it made me realize. I need to be an adult and become more matured and strong. True, the journey started to become better and better. There are roadblocks here and there but what is important is your attitude.

One day, I did a simple observation on Facebook. I went a well-known page among teens and young adults. I was shocked. The level of immaturity was beyond me. Name calling, dishonesty and just plain rage filled the page. (and they were discussing the nation's future...) All of them are future leaders. What happened?

Although I am just an 18 years old but I was sadden. What happened to my generation? What happened to the idea of adulthood? What happened to simple logic? (Really, their argument was really illogical...) I'm not going to bash any specific person just be clear. I'm just curious, it this is level of an adult nowadays? No wonder ten years old kids started to have swear, smoke and have sex.

But really, if that is their level of maturity, then how can they stand life? Maybe they are still under their parents and all but what happened if they are left alone? Is their core strong enough to withstand life's harshness? Can you feel the true joy of life? Can they lead the future?

Wow, my points are all over the place now. This happens when you are too hyperactive and pumped out. But that is a different story. My point is; too my fellow adults and soon-to-be adults, being an adults is not just being 18 and able to enter an 18SX movie without shame but it is a state of having a matured mindset and attitude. What is happening to our generation will greatly affect the future generation. We are the adult who will change the world. We will shape the future...but are we building it right?

So that is all for my first post. It is a little shaky with the structure but I hope the point reach out to you. So what do you think? Comment and tell me about it.

tl;dr?
Dude, reading changes lives. (just saying)

Hello and Welcome!

Hello world!

It is me...again after four times of fail blogging. So, I guess its introduction time all over again eh?

After the terrible tragedy of 19 February 2011, I decided to go anonymous for all my blog post. That is right folks, I'm not posting ANY personal information about ME in this blog. This blog is basically a medium for me to express on issue all over the world. In other words:

IT  IS A SERIOUS BLOG

Okay, I'm kidding. This is a FUN blog but with appropriate level of intelligence. Sure, I will put it humor and of sort but  you will not see things like 'OMG, I dropped my keys today LOLOLOLOLOL'

So, yeah...As a side note, 90% of this blog will be written in English despite of English being my second language (My mother tongue is Malay so I'm a Malaysian FYI) The reason to this is because English can reach a wider audience and the truth of it being the official language of the internet.

Before moving on, among the things you will find in this blog is:
-Random blabbles of questions of the universe
-My views on the recent events of the world
-Observation towards society
-Thoughts on trends

Yeah, you will maybe say, tl;dr
But it is just me.
Read or don't, it your choice.
But I hope you will enjoy and take my post as a food for thought
Till then, have a good day
